After this session, participants will be able to:
Discuss potential digital learning challenges.
Reflect and articulate the value and challenges of effective learning experiences supported by TPACK and reflect on what the TPACK model will look like in their school/district.
Explore methods for enhancing and/or transforming technology.
Demonstrate understanding, effective use and integration of the ITES standards into classroom instruction.
Discuss and reflect on classroom management strategies.
In this session, we will refresh our understanding of the "TPACK" model and how it can grow capacity targeted at planning, implementing, and assessing of digital learning activities.
BREAK | 10 minutes
Connect with ET (Enhancing and Transforming Instruction)| 60 minutes In this session, we will discuss what lessons look like when they've been enhanced by the use of technology and what they look like when they've been transformed by the use of technology. You will explore a few ways to either enhance or transform pedagogy and discuss when to enhance and when to transform.
In this session, we will review required Information Technology Essential Standards and brainstorm ways to integrate these standards into classroom instruction with or without technology.
In this session, you will explore ways to integrate technology into classroom practice; this can be a great way to strengthen engagement by linking students to a global audience, turning them into creators of digital media, and helping them practice collaboration skills that will prepare them for the future.
In this session, you will be expose to a variety of strategies for managing your technology-enabled classroom. You will then engage in a whole-group discussions to collaboratively address individual concerns about developing a safe and productive digital culture in your individual classroom.
